When this house was purchased, the home inspector noticed a few small spots of wood rot in the panel siding. Nothing could prepare the home owner for what we found underneath.
Once the siding was removed, extensive wood rot throughout the framing was found.
There was extensive wood rot from the top of the wall....
....all the way to the bottom where the band joists were rotted completely through.
Note the newer looking pieces of wood. The investment buyer that flipped this house did minimal repairs to avoid putting any more money into the house.
Replacing all of the rotted framing.
New pressure treated panel siding is installed with the proper flashing.
The house is now whole and sound again. Just waiting for paint.
